Hine Downing is a prominent law firm based in Falmouth. The family tree of this legal practice stretches back into the 19th Century as an unbroken history of advising and acting for generations of families and businesses.

You may be reading this because you have been told about us and that would not be surprising because we welcome most of our new clients following personal recommendation. In many respects Hine Downing is a traditional Cornwall law firm. It is a symbol of continuity – and the solicitors who practice here are proud of that fact.

However, as a progressive, forward-thinking legal firm, we are also constantly seeking to improve. Hine Downing was created when two long-established legal practices agreed that, in an increasingly complex and fast-changing world, they should join forces to offer a broader range of services under one roof.

We now have six partners and six main departments specialising in commercial law, civil litigation, family law, probate, wills and trusts, residential property, and elder client services.

Elder client services is a unique concept to us which combines legal and welfare support and it is a good example of our innovative and responsive thinking when it comes to delivering legal services in this modern and changing world.
